Easy Coaster Art

The other day, I found an old coaster at work and decided to use it for a little art project. I originally thought it might make for a nice mini bulletin board for the inside of my kitchen cabinets (the back of the coaster was made of cork) but thought spicing it up with some scrapbook paper and a little Mod Podge would be even better.

This was my first project using Mod Podge, and I'll admit I was a tiny bit nervous to try it. That's why using something that was supposed to go in the trash would make me feel less guilty if I screwed it up. :)

I chose polka dot scrapbook paper and cut a pink letter "E" using my Cricut. I added two little gem embellishments to the corners. I plan to add a pink striped ribbon and hang it on the bulletin board in my office to give me something else to look at besides an organization chart.
